I just switched off the power source, removed my RTX 2080 and installed a Radeon R7 240 to test functionality. After restarting the PSU and pressing the power button, the card still didn’t output any video. When I powered it down and back on, the same issue persisted—no video signal appeared. Turning the PSU off or unplugging it were the only solutions. After a short wait, I replaced the CMOS battery for three minutes, reinstalled the power supply, and tried again. This time the motherboard lights came on, which is expected since I’d previously disabled them in the UEFI settings. Unfortunately, video remained absent. I attempted to connect a monitor with an iGPU, but it also didn’t help. I’ve tried everything multiple times now and am unsure how to proceed. Please assist me.
You turned off the system, flipped the power switch, unplugged the power source, and checked for residual power before handling it. It seems there might have been a short in the PCIe slot. For multiple boards, you could test the cards in the secondary slot.
All other PCIe ports are set to 1x. I left the power supply off, carefully removed the side panel, and didn’t press the power button to refresh any remaining energy. This might be why I’m not receiving signals from the graphics cards, but what about the IGPU?
It was once a Ryzen 5 Pro 3400G built into an Asus Prime B450M-A II with an arbitrary 500W power unit, a SATA SSD, and 16GB of budget RAM. My dad used it for work. About a year later I acquired it (roughly six months ago), and right away I pushed the CPU to 4.1GHz without adjusting the voltage because I was nervous. I swapped the SSD for an NVMe drive, updated the case, swapped all the fans, added the RTX 2080, and have been using it daily ever since. Just a week ago I changed the RAM to a 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4-3200-18-18-36 package, but only managed to run it at 2866MHz. Going beyond 2933MHz caused instability, and anything higher failed. (The CPU isn’t reliable, but I got it for free) Today I purchased an EVGA Supernova 850 GA, but haven’t installed it yet.

Have you attempted to reinstall the RAM? A faulty connection can cause these issues.
Basically, modern boards aren’t protected from light ESDs anymore... Huh, did you take it apart before this happened? *uncertain details* Time to order a new board or CPU, probably. Cpus tend to wear out after overclocking. Wait... and now it doesn’t work at all? Man, I’ve never seen such conflicting information before.
