I reopened the device and noticed one RGB header was incorrectly connected. I replaced it, connected the cable to the wall outlet, and powered the PSU on—no flickering appeared. However, when I pressed the power button, nothing happened. The cable is securely in place and the PSU switch is active, yet the PC remains unresponsive. I’m considering taking it to a repair shop since I don’t want to risk further damage. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, even if they’re simple.

Verify the power button's connection to the motherboard header and ensure it isn't reversed. It might have been moved during handling.

The system is still not starting despite proper connections and power settings. Have you considered replacing the 4080 with the 3050 model to test a different configuration? Also, before attempting any modifications, could you attempt to disable the power button and try shorting the power pins with a key or similar tool to see if that triggers booting?

I agree, test the old card and verify everything works as before.

You've removed the GPU and attempted to boot using the APU (I have an I-5 12400), but it doesn’t receive any power—no fans spinning, no RGB activation. You also replaced the RAM and ran a CMOS reset, checked all cables, and now suspect the PSU or motherboard might be faulty. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

If there are no signals or alerts about a problem, I'd suspect the power supply unit is the issue first. I'd attempt to swap it with a reliable one and, if that fails, consider replacing the motherboard since the system would likely react if it had power—even without booting. I believe the PSU is probably the culprit. Additionally, I'd plan to upgrade to at least an 850W unit because your setup has high power demands.

I’ve chosen to upgrade everything and ordered a 13700K, 360 Galahad V2 SL-Inf, MAG Z790 Tomahawk DDR4 with Wi-Fi and HX1000i. All components should arrive by Friday. The KFA2 SG 4080 has a mini 4-pin for Argb and a mini 5-pin for the clip-on fan power. The motherboard came with an adapter for a 5V3 Argb input from the GPU, plus two mini 4-pin Argb connectors for the GPU and its stand. The stand also has an RGB component to secure the GPU. I mistakenly thought the second GPU connector was a 5-pin power output and not meant for Argb, so I put both mini 4-pin Argb cables into the GPU. After turning it on, please advise if this setup might have risked your mainboard or GPU.
