I saved a script executer from krnl.ca, but there were whispers about the wearedevs version being a hidden BTC miner virus. Did I just install a BTC miner? And if so, how can I remove it since it seems to target high-end GPUs like mine?

You have three choices: review the system thoroughly and remove all remnants, use Windows Defender and Malwarebytes for scanning, or opt for a clean reinstall by disconnecting the SSD used for Windows installation and replacing it safely. Remember, avoid installing unknown software unless you understand how to remove it properly.

I removed every remaining sign of it... it shows krnl and it’s gone. I checked %temp% and %appdata%, then deleted all files. I can’t see it in Task Manager, but when I open Armoury Crate it reports my GPU is steady at 40%. What does that mean for the issue?
