Never promised it would be simple—it was a challenge. I once assisted someone here called Jarhead; he’s now LEM and outpaced me, just because he naturally progressed. Helping isn’t wrong, but the CS community tends to resist it most of the time... it often gets criticized.
I was DMG, so pre-elo-nerf DMG sounds bad, right? Currently DMG is MGII.

That's great. I've been playing a lot with a friend early on, but he didn't really perform well in MGE-DMG (he was just lucky). Once I got into the DMG era, I started teaming up with others to improve my skills since they had better instincts and capabilities. I excelled at Supreme but have since returned to the lower ranks after the rank changes. One of my friends has reached Global, another is much stronger now, but I think it's still worth competing in smaller events.
It impacted the top positions, with most in GN and Silver remaining untouched. What caused the decline in every rank above MGI? If you fell behind after a loss, your standing dropped. Currently, DMG is at LEM—things should balance out soon, bringing more players back to MGE and DMG levels.
