Bad Company and Bad Company 2 offered solid gameplay with minor tweaks compared to BF2/2142, featuring engaging new elements. The campaign stood out due to its characters, marking a fresh start for BF games. However, the direction taken in BF3 seemed inconsistent—either too limited or overly expansive, with inconsistent vehicle options based on game mode.

This experience really sparked my interest in BF-style FPS games. DICE did an outstanding job on this title. Unfortunately, most of the developers who worked on it have since moved on to other projects. I think BF3 lacked good map design and balance, especially on certain maps where powerful vehicles were only available on specific flags. Also, the Rush game mode in BC2 was quite impressive due to its map layout. I’ve played Rush more often than Conquest on this game, but it’s gradually being replaced by newer titles.

Rush was launched with poor company because of the "gold rush" situation, which likely helped its success. I didn't enjoy the conquest mode in BF3—it made it seem like you wouldn't be able to do much without being inside a vehicle. I also recall playing the game on the X360, which was a terrible decision since it was only available there. At that time, I even connected my 360 monitor to the game just because I didn't have a HD TV.

It was heavily reliant on the vehicle.

In the past it wasn't always like this. Vehicles were helpful, but being outside didn't feel wasted. Also, the TDM in BF3 was really trying but failing to be a COD.

It resulted from their inability to succeed in the campaign.

BF4 is genuine, not pretending to be something it isn't. I’m comfortable with BF3 and BFBC2, but struggle with BF3+BFBC2. If DICE had at least one person matching my skill level, they’d provide the best support only on dedicated servers. Official statements fall short. Base assault needs to be accessible everywhere, not just through carriers. The real issue is pride leading to poor results.
