I recently chose to try Starfield again and started noticing artifacts appearing on the screen occasionally. Their position and intensity vary. The drivers are current, and the GPU is brand new. Other games haven’t had this problem. Should I be concerned or is this specific to Starfield?
Copy this into the search bar. Go to Starfield and remove pipeline.cache. It's a cache file and it will regenerate quickly, should help if you're still facing issues.
What graphics is it? Edit, 5080, just reviewed your previous discussion, I’d consider trying an earlier driver, around the second version from now. Perform a manual search at geforce.com/drivers to compile a list of various driver versions. Amd should adopt a comparable strategy to a clean install, but for Nvidia, the clean install option deletes shader cache files, which could assist since games will regenerate them. There are additional methods to remove the shader cache if you search further.
It seems likely. Reconnect the 12vhpwr plug to the card just in case there are any problems. Also, make sure the motherboard BIOS is updated—not only for the card but also for other issues related to the 13th and 14th generation systems, it should be current with the latest BIOS.
Don't worry, once they released the new BIOS for the 13th/14th generation I made sure to install it. I wouldn't have wanted my CPU to stop working like that. After further searching, I found someone else experiencing the same problem. The comments suggest it's a known issue with Starfield and likely just a driver problem, so an RMA probably isn't necessary. It might also be related to Age of Wonders 4, as I saw it there too. It only happened once during a long session and after restarting the game seemed to resolve it.
Probably the most common drivers are users like this one; see here. For example: https://forums. Next time, consider waiting before installing new hardware.
