As the title suggests, I wondered if you recall when you began playing PC games. It doesn’t need a precise date—just a general timeframe. No worries if this was mentioned before; I found it fascinating to track the early days of gaming. I started playing around 1996 or 1997 on those hot Wheels computers, but after they stopped working, I didn’t pick up PC gaming again until about 2007. Would you remember the specific PC you used when you first started gaming for nostalgia?
I recall the day I received my initial PC running Windows 95. That machine came with a small collection of learning games, which sparked my interest in gaming. (Around 7 or 8 years old)
Two years back, Battlefield 3 stood out as the title I aimed to enjoy... Another EA product played a significant role in shaping my experiences <3
Began playing PC games in about 1995; during that era, Desert Strike and Fatal Racing were my top picks. I started with electronic games around 1991.
It was around 2002 when I was eight years old trying to play IL-2 Sturmovich, probably spending about twenty hours figuring out the controls. Back then I was a total beginner and gave up on PC games, sticking with the PlayStation 2 for its ease. Later I came back to PC after seeing friends enjoy Skyrim on their laptops, and now I’m hooked—I’ll never leave it.
About 2-3 years ago I was just starting out, though I've played some light games when I was younger on a toaster PC.
At that time around 2000, games like Rollercoaster Tycoon and Hydro Thunder were popular.
