I split my SSD for the bootcamp setup.
I separated my SSD for bootcamp and now it's locked in place, which is frustrating. I named it FFS to better understand how upset I am about this situation. Can you assist me? I want to set up Windows through bootcamp, but the extra drive is preventing me from doing so.
I faced the same problem earlier. I started with a Windows installer USB and deleted the partition, which left only empty space. After switching to MacOS, I could expand the main drive again. Still puzzled—why can’t I delete it in MacOS? There must be a specific reason behind it.
Choose the APFS partition and press Command to expand the macOS volume. Bootcamp will manage the partitioning; avoid using Disk Utility for this setup.
