I received a CL14 3200 stable setup with various timings. Here’s the configuration: MOBO: MSI Pro B660A, Intel i3-12100 CPU, 2×8 GB 3200 CL16 Kingston Fury KF3200C16D4/8GX memory IC die, manufactured in Week 24 of 2022. GPU is GTX 1070. I’m trying these three RAM profiles to see if they can lower latency in Valorant. Are these suitable for my system? Any advice would be appreciated. Voltage range is 1.40–1.42 for secondary, default timings.
Hi everyone, I have the following configuration: MOBO: MSI Pro B660A, CPU: Intel i3-12100, RAM: 2×8 GB 3200 CL16 Kingston Fury KF3200C16D4/8GX. I want to evaluate these three RAM profiles for reduced latency in Valorant. Do they fit my setup? Any recommendations? The voltage specs are 1.40–1.42 for secondary and default timings.
I question whether you can use CL14 with that setup. It seems like your version matches theirs. ChatGPT performs poorly on this topic.
Hynix CJR isn’t a terrible chip for memory speeds, but it falls short for handling these clock settings. The part I notice right away could cause issues, especially trying to keep tRCD under 18—normally that’s tough, let alone 14 in this case. I don’t have much detail on the other timings because I haven’t overclocked CJR recently, but I’m sure they’re not set for optimal performance either. Instead of relying on AI tools, search online for “Hynix CJR Intel memory timings” and pick a result from Reddit; that should give you better guidance. Alternatively, you could adjust it yourself.
Consider starting with the least risky settings. If CL14 doesn’t work, test CL15 on the same setting, or move directly to higher frequencies at cl16.
I’m really improving my performance by about 2.5x with undervolting and a few adjustments. I also refreshed my bios. I’m planning to test Cl14 and stay current.
