Yeah so recently the screen of my Lenovo Legion 5 didn't work (black screen) and me, desperately trying to make it work because the Lenovo tech support is so slow, connected it to an external monitor. To which I found out that turning off the MUX switch (reverting to default graphics drivers) made the external display not work. And so I turned the MUX back on via BIOS and tried uninstalling the Nvidia graphics drivers in the control panel hoping that it will fix all my problems, but now there's black screen even in the external monitor. I can't even make it display BIOS. What do I do? Here's my specs: Graphics: RTX 3060 RAM: 16gb Storage: 512 gb SSD

Have you tried turning off your computer's screen and restarting it? If that doesn't work, plug the extra screen back in.

Thanks for getting back to me. I've rebooted my laptop a few times now, but it's still locked up with no picture on screen. I even tried pressing keys to show the BIOS settings and nothing shows up either.

Do you have a CPU inside your computer? That might be why you're seeing that black screen when the GPU drivers didn't load.

Yes, I get that. My computer has a powerful AMD Ryzen chip called the 5600H. Is there anything else I can use to make it work better or faster?

Does restarting your computer make everything work, except for the screen not showing anything?

Sure, I can actually feel the startup noise, every light on the key works just right, and I think I might be able to sign up now.

The issue comes to you when you delete your GPU software, then there is no video coming from your laptop because there is no VGA connection anymore. That is why most AMD computers don't have built-in graphics cards. Usually, if you are in a normal PC, you can solve this by using an AMD chip with built-in graphics and reinstalling the drivers.

On the right side of your computer, next to the headphone plug, there is a tiny hole used to reset it or fix problems. This little key looks like an old handcuff lock. Try pushing it in and see if you get a picture on the screen when you connect a monitor. I'm not sure for sure if this works, so I'm stuck here, 🙁 sorry.

I don't think they knew it before. It's really bad then. Another question: If I want to put a new Windows on my PC from a USB stick, will the screen show up completely or nothing at all?
