It seems many modems and gateways have been removed, especially by Comcast. They seem aiming for everyone to use a Docs 3.1 device now. With Mid split and Docsis 4 upgrades, only a few models support those features. My current modem is no longer suggested because it's off the allowed list. I don’t feel the need to upgrade yet since we haven’t received the improved mid split speeds. Docsis 4 might be years away, and there are no retail Docsis 4 units available yet.
