I encountered issues with my PC that weren't related to the BIOS, and I resolved them already. Last time I updated the BIOS was a while ago—I don’t recall the precise date. After installing the latest version, the alt-tab function for exiting games has become significantly slower. Usually, I use alt+tab to exit in R6, but now it takes about 10 seconds. It’s really frustrating, and I’ve reverted to the previous BIOS version, though it still doesn’t help. How can I obtain the exact BIOS I had around a year ago? Can I have it rerolled twice?
What motherboard and processor do you have in the computer, some BIOS update versions change certain values or add additional values for security, compatibility, etc that will not be able to be removed after the update has completed?
I upgraded my laptop to B450m Pro4 with Ryzen 5 2600. After removing the lithium battery, I tried locating the CMOS pins but found no matching plug for swapping. Some guides suggested using two of the three pins, but I didn’t have that option. Removing the battery didn’t seem to help restarting the BIOS.
