I just purchased this SSD and installed it today, but now I have no signal. I tried unplugging everything and replaced the RAM, which is the first time I’ve changed parts on my PC, so I’m really confused about what to do or if I did something wrong. It’s an ALIENWARE Aurora R12 with a Samsung 990 pro SSD that includes a heat sink, and the power supply is 1k watts. I’m not very comfortable with computer stuff, so I’m feeling quite lost. I was checking other posts but still don’t understand what happened.

What do you mean by "no signal"? The computer is completely unresponsive or it seems to be missing the SSD.

Hmm, interesting. Take the SSD out and test it again to check if the issue persists.

Sure, I can try it out and when you say install everything, I’ll mean the SSD ID. I’m not sure if there are any other things I’m missing, and honestly I’m just a total beginner, so I bought an Alienware laptop for that reason.

Sure, just let me know if you need to relocate the graphics card before installing the M.2 SSD. Be sure to properly reconnect it and remember to include the power cable.

Yes, I removed it. I made sure to hear the click but questioned whether focusing solely on the click is sufficient.

I don’t have it all together right now, just to confirm everything was properly placed before I attempt again

Same issue again, no signal at all. I'm going to try the old SSD now.
