I’m moving up from a 7700k and it’s a significant jump. I spend a lot of time in Unity and Primere, and some online sources suggest skipping integrated graphics can hurt encoding and other features. The 12900kf at MSRP was a great deal given the limited availability. Will the KF version make a noticeable difference? Also, I have a GTX 1080 for my GPU. Thanks ahead!

You're dealing with video formats and hardware capabilities. The encoder and decoder perform well on these chips, supporting advanced codecs like H.265 10bit 422. For optimal performance with these formats, use the version that includes IGUPU.

I don’t use prime numbers often, just sometimes, and I can wait. The iGpu seems to serve only encoding purposes.

but besides that... No real gain. Ok well I can wait a little longer in premiere and I only have 2 monitors so I dont think ill ever have any use for it

I own a KF chip and it feels natural to me. I don't rely on Quicksync and have a backup GPU, so I don't really need one. The KF chips are also easier to compare with AMD Ryzen X chips because they lack iGPUs as well.

Possessing integrated graphics is useful just in case your GPU fails (unless you have another GPU nearby). That’s the sole reason I’ve used mine.
