I'm still unsure about what to do with those 2 sticks of 8GB 3000MHz RAM. They're set to 2400MHz, but my motherboard and i5 8400 can handle 2666MHz. In the next step I don't know why people suggest setting the XMP profile to 2 because it would bring it down to 2666MHz. I'm not sure why I keep asking. Recently at a repair shop, they told me the same thing—don't touch them, as your PC knows better.
