Almost a year ago I ran the Heaven Benchmark 4.0 and achieved around 1500 points using my GTX 970 Herculez X2 4GB with I5 3570K all stock configurations. Today I performed the same test with identical settings and obtained approximately 1200 points. All latest drivers were installed. After these changes, I upgraded the motherboard and increased my CPU overclock to 4.2GHz without raising the voltage. Could this be the cause of the reduced score? I have a Corsair CXV2 500W ATX12V2.3 PSU, z75 Pro3 motherboard and EVO 212 CPU cooler. Feel free to ask if you have any questions!

There are various tools such as cleaner that might assist, along with virus protection scans and junk erasing programs. However, a fresh installation is still the optimal choice.

It might simply be the usual Windows bloat that accumulates over time and consumes resources.

It might simply be the usual Windows bloat that accumulates over time and consumes resources. The only solution could be a full system reinstall? I recall upgrading from Windows 7 to 10 recently.
