unusual issue encountered. System powers on with all components—motherboard, keyboard, mouse, RAM, CPU, GPU—but only a black screen appears, no BIOS logo. Tested other parts; motherboard was the culprit. CMOS battery and RAM ports cleaned, CPU pins checked and fine. The only hint is after installing the new heatsink, the display showed the BIOS logo briefly before freezing. Once frozen, it would restart normally for a while, but then would freeze again, always showing a black screen when trying to boot.

You likely tightened it too much or placed it incorrectly. This issue has been common many times before. For next time, please tell me which cooler you used.

It was a fresh stock cooler I got, then I installed another motherboard, and everything functioned perfectly.

It's possible you caused harm to the motherboard by either applying static electricity or accidentally damaging it during the installation of the cooler.

I believe you're considering the same idea, though I thought damaging was uncommon. It might happen during cooler installation, but I don’t see any signs of harm on the board.

I reviewed the motherboard more closely by comparing it with another identical model to assess any damage. I found this issue: (my MB is on the left) https://ibb.co/8cxfjYd. The black component looks bent or broken, though I’m not sure what it is or its name. It seems the damage might be from the pressure applied while mounting the heatsink.
