Yea, so i bought the Ryzen 7600 and ASRock B650MHDV/M.2. Both of them were kinda on sale. I just need a memory stick. This is what i'm looking forward to: Kingston Fury Beast, DDR5, 16 GB, 6000MHz, CL30 I really want to end up with 32GB but mobo has only 2 dimm slots. How much performance will i lose if i go with 1 x 16GB instead of 2x8. Regards.
You're disappointed, but you're settling for 16GB now. Hope to find a better deal later.
Single channel offers significantly lower performance than 2x8GB configurations, yet I still choose the 1x16GB option and can upgrade it later. I believe a 4800 CL40 2x16GB setup provides better value compared to alternatives like 6000 CL30 2x8GB or a single 16GB unit. Although 8GB DIMMs deliver less performance per clock, they are generally priced similarly. JEDEC 2x8GB kits typically match the cost of 2x16GB options in my experience.
DDR5 differs from DDR4 in several aspects. A 2x8GB configuration isn’t ideal; consider upgrading to 2x16 for better performance. The improvements are significant.
It provides twice the capacity. You definitely need dual channel.
Fine, i'll dish out. But there's another obstacle. A lot of people are saying i should get the 6000 CL30 kit, but others insist the 6000 CL36 is enough for this ryzen. Anyone willing to drop some knownledge on this. What's worth what? EDIT: I bought the Patriot Viper Venom, DDR5, 32 GB, 6000MHz, CL30. Case closed.
