Before purchasing the Intel Arc B580, I managed most tasks I needed or wanted to accomplish, though they were manageable. Now that I own the new GPU, streaming seems problematic—no success on Twitch or YouTube. Updated configuration: CPU – AMD Ryzen 5 3600; GPU – RX 570 PowerColor Red Dragon Radeon™; 4GB GDDR5; motherboard – ASRock Intel Arc B580 Steel Legend 12GB OC; RAM – T-Force Dark Z 8GB 3200mhz DDR4; SSD – 250 GB Western Digital SN550 NVMe; power supply – Gigabyte P650B 650W; case – ATX Fantech Aero CG80 Space Edition. I recognize my current build has a bottleneck, but it’s unclear how much it impacts streaming performance, particularly the Encoder Overload warning in OBS. Today I experimented with settings: running PoE 2 (low quality), full low quality, and various game profiles. Despite adjusting bitrate, target usage, keyframe intervals, and latency, I still encountered frequent Encoder Overload errors—even when streaming on Twitch. I tried lowering ICQ quality, changing target usage, tweaking profiles, and even switching to default settings. The results were mixed; only Nier Automata at full medium quality worked reliably, while other titles struggled with constant delays or crashes. My old RX570 performed better for streaming, especially in older games, though it still had occasional issues. I was able to play Solo Leveling and Civilization V without problems, but high settings on most titles caused frequent stutters. If adjustments don’t resolve the issue, swapping to a different GPU like the 7600XT might be necessary, as the store only offers replacements there. The main goal is to get this GPU to stream smoothly, given its advertised strengths. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you attempted to run OBS as an administrator or reinstall it? It’s possible the issue lies in a software glitch preventing proper GPU detection. You might also want to check the Intel Arc settings.

Before making the change, I needed to reinstall OBS to fix the same problem the OP is facing.

I just reinstalled OBS yesterday before getting a new GPU. I didn’t try running it as admin right away because it wasn’t on my mind. I was using OBS version 30 initially, then upgraded to the latest release. My Intel Arc software settings are as they are, and I believe they match the default configuration.

Consider restarting OBS after installing the new GPU. It might improve performance. No harm in giving it a go.

Intel, your demonstration was clear. I’ve faced similar issues before, needing to run OBS as administrator. OBS tends to struggle with hardware updates, which is why a fresh install might be necessary. I’m not very experienced with OBS—only used it twice in the past year for specific tasks.

I recently reinstalled the drivers and tried refreshing OBS again while running it with admin privileges. The Encoding Overload issue persists even with default settings. I'm still experiencing problems fighting mobs on PoE2, and the logs from my new testing are available here: https://obsproject.com/logs/JHBa0JmLKpj79OWw. These also include Task Manager logs.
