Ensure you follow the terms of any agreement. Reinstall the operating system or clear the log. Task completed.

I didn't sign any agreement, right? What does that mean?

They likely pushed you to purchase it since it gives them a small profit, and they believe they can monitor your activity through that hidden feature they added. But in reality, if you're cautious, take a picture of the HDD and keep it safe, so you have a backup in case the original system is needed on the notebook.

You're wondering if the amount is too much and they're trying to exploit you.

Even when you use it, they can't do it without telling you. It's especially restricted if it's your own device. This situation can become a legal issue. (At least in Belgium.) It completely breaks privacy, just like security cameras, and it must be handled with proper notification from the user, who then needs to consent—either by purchasing the product or agreeing to enter the property. Or they can refuse, by not buying or not entering. EDIT: Contact your school administration and let them know about this.

You can proceed at your own pace, just restart the operating system.

Challenge them; in most places this would be a serious breach of privacy, etc.
