To illustrate the impact of adjusting settings on frame rate, I’ve tried different configurations. I favor a higher frame rate. Here’s how it looked:

Game: Warframe
Processor: i3-4030U
Graphics: Intel HD 4400 (small area → ~+10 FPS)

First Image: 1366x778
Second Image: 800x600

P.S.: My method for displaying FPS isn’t precise, but I’m aware of the issue.

I understand the second option resembles a potato, yet it feels much more enjoyable and safe during gameplay.

Could've picked a refurbished gaming machine with around 960MB of RAM...

I understand, though this laptop is quite outdated. I was just looking to run it on a less powerful machine. I mainly use it for web browsing and basic Microsoft Office applications.

I would make a trade-off; maybe 1366x768 with a lower resolution.

I would have chosen a superior GPU if I had intended to play games on it.

I also tried it. The frame rate was about 40 to 50 frames per second. It runs smoother and is functional, though it becomes quite warm.

Unfortunately, it's running on a vintage laptop. The GPU can't be updated.
