It seems like you're comparing BF4 and BF3. You mentioned you haven't played BF3 in over two years and think they're quite alike. Your main reason for choosing BF4 over BF3 is its superior graphics and the expectation of a larger player base.

Because there are always servers I can join with many players, while most European BF4 servers are empty and there are no one to connect with.

I prefer BF3 over BF4, but I never really dived into BF4. The shift happened when the clan I play with transitioned from BF3 to Planetside 2; BF4 didn’t feel right or polished enough to make the change. After Hardline released, we switched to it because it shares a lot of similarities with BF3. I don’t like the unlock system in Hardline either.
