You can choose between one M.2 drive and one SSD or two M.2 drives. Each option has its pros and cons depending on your needs.

it doesn't matter which option suits your setup best.

False. Some M.2 drives support communication via SATA, which limits their speed to 6Gb/s.

Depends entirely on the comparison being made. M.2 drives vary between those using SATA and those with PCIe interfaces, with speeds typically around 550 MB/s for both read and write. The PCIe models can go up to 3500 MB/s or more. Additionally, the drive size plays a role. For most users seeking both capacity and speed, a 500GB PCIe option is reasonable, paired with a larger HDD (2-4TB) or another SSD if needed. However, this approach may not suit everyone due to cost or practicality constraints.

Maybe not two M.2 drives and one SSD because that configuration might not fit the system's needs or performance goals.

You're considering the AddLink S70 1TB SSD with PCIe M.2 2280 interface. It offers speeds up to 3400 MB/s read and 3000 MB/s write. That sounds solid for performance needs.

Appearance is quite good, but the main factor is the price. According to the article I referenced, it’s nearly comparable to a Samsung 970EVO. If it’s cheaper, that’s the better choice. You might also want a slower SATA SSD for lower cost and add a few terabytes of storage space.
