My system runs on an old, worn-out hard drive, so I attempted to move the OS to an SSD but found the process very confusing. I followed the instructions carefully, but ended up stuck in an endless repair cycle. Now I’m unsure how to proceed or transfer the OS and feel completely lost without any guidance.

Just reinstall the operating system. It will be much quicker to reinstall your installed programs and games rather than attempting a transfer properly.

Did you attempt to move or duplicate data? Cloning should function properly only if the target disk is equal in size or larger. Migration often faces high failure rates, making reinstall the most reliable choice.

I just tried using this tool to move a 9-year-old HDD to an SSD without any problems. It actually worked well for fixing an issue caused by a cloning program. Now I have this annoying watermark on my screen, though.

It varies based on your setup: If you installed from a CD, remove the old drive and insert the new ones, then adjust the boot sequence in BIOS. If you upgraded from an older version or online, get the file from their site and use their tool to move your product key. If you did this illegally, you might be fine unless Windows fixes it on its own.
