I will count the files and system files, including or excluding them as needed.
I realize my hard drive is nearly full, though I have two external drives—each 2 TB, but one is not being recognized by the computer.
In reality, I only have one 2 TB external drive, which is full.
I also remember now that I possess a DVD writer, allowing me to burn files onto blank DVDs.
Thank you.
the entire Windows setup and all its components are not covered in your OneDrive backup.
here's a question, do I want system files on OneDrive?
I guess if I think of the term 'backed up', it would only be backed up if system files were included.

this was my first question . . .
I was thinking the best way would be to get the size of the OneDrive folder in File Explorer. It is 344 GB. But that includes system files right?
I'm not sure how to manually get the size of the non system files, AKA documents, videos. music. Etc
Other ways exist for creating backups, but they usually need real hard drives.
Check each directory within your files.
This is exactly what the OneDrive feature transfers to the cloud.
About five months back, around 1.3 terabytes of data vanished. It seems unbelievable, but it really did happen. No one I've spoken to has any idea what occurred.
I still have 39,000 folders that were once full, though they're now disorganized. Fortunately, most of the files were safely backed up.
I made some room on my C drive.

I thought I said something wrong. The 2 TB drive I have is only 131 GB used, leaving 1.69 TB free.
