Hey there! A few days back I tried to start a program named 'Nexon Launcher' but got stuck in an endless loading screen. What caught my attention was that I couldn't perform many tasks—Task Manager didn’t work, the browser wouldn’t open, and everything seemed to slow down. Still, I could chat in Discord without issues. When I tried to restart my PC via the Windows menu it failed, so I force-closed it with a power button. I got a blue screen of death, but it resolved itself. Later, the Nexon Launcher updated, though it took a long time to load and I managed to play the game eventually. Today, I’m still having trouble getting it to open again.

I recently played League of Legends and after picking a champion, I got stuck for about 2-3 minutes with no progress. Opening Task Manager didn’t help. After a couple of minutes it appeared, which is when I realized I was in the loading screen. Mozilla Firefox also became unresponsive. This seems to be a new problem, and my PC is only a few days old.

Operating System: Version 21H2 (OS Build 19044.2604)

Specs:
- CPU: Intel Core i7-8700k 3.7 GHz, 6-core
- CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i v2 70.69 CFM
- Motherboard: Asus Prime Z370-A ATX LGA1151
- RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance RGB PRO, 64GB DDR4 3600
- Storage: Samsung 970 Evo 250 GB M.2-2280, 2 x Samsung 860 Evo 500 GB SSD, Toshiba P300 3 TB 7200 RPM
- GPU: EVGA GeForce RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra Gaming, 24GB GDDR6X
- PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 850 W, 80+ Gold certified

I usually run Discord and Mozilla Firefox during these issues. I haven’t seen any errors, just tried virus scans, chkdsk, and disk defrag. Sorry for the lengthy update—I really attempted to keep it short!

Use CrystalDiskInfo to check the condition of your disks. You might notice that one drive isn’t working properly, while Windows struggles to access damaged areas.

Hey there! Glad you reached out. With CrystalDiskInfo 8.5.2 x64, everything looks fine—your drives are all marked as 'Good.' Your Toshiba shows no issues, and the Samsung SSD is at 90%, which is normal. The other drive is at 100%, which is also typical. Everything seems to be in order!

The processor appears somewhat outdated. Does it function well while playing games or handling other activities? The issue might be related to the software itself. Have you attempted to run the application on a different machine?

Hey there, I notice you can run VALORANT and Sea of Thieves without issues. I’ve only encountered problems with the Nexon Launcher and League of Legends. The app works well for others, but I’m still facing challenges with mine.

Do you have the latest drivers installed? I’m concerned it might still be a relatively outdated CPU, though it’s not that old. Please verify the CPU speed is between 3.7 and 4.7 GHz.

Lol, I'm still running twin Ivy Bridge Xeons and they still perform really well. The other person's setup isn't that old. Good thing the drives are solid. Check Event Viewer for any Red Xs or error markers under System or Application—these usually point to major issues. If you spot anything, share the complete error message or a screenshot here...

My Device Manager shows everything is current. If I understand correctly, in Task Manager the processor runs at 4.29 GHz. I usually don’t use the driver update app, but it seems a bit odd. I visit the manufacturer’s site to check for updates, and I see several warnings and errors since turning on the PC at 4:01 PM. The Warning Spoiler details mention multiple issues with IntelMEProv and certificate services expiring. The Perflib logs report access denials and expired certificates for system files. Overall, it looks like repeated permission or expiration problems are occurring.

I’m not confident about posting multiple times, yet I keep getting this error. I checked a related issue and it could point to a virtual memory problem. I’ll keep investigating.

These seem to be removable drives that weren't removed properly.
