Hi all,
I own a small Dell Optiplex 3060 micro with just one M.2 SSD. I need to install a new 2TB SATA SSD that was given to me, but when I opened it, I found no SATA connection... 😲 Can someone help me add it? I've attached a photo I took, showing what I expected to see. Would there be a way to connect it internally? Also, I understand it's possible via USB, but I'd prefer an internal solution.

When there is no SATA link on the board and the power supply unit is absent, you won't be able to proceed.

I know, thank you for your feedback.
I noticed other images of the Optiplex 3060 with a SATA in that exact location (refer to the picture below).
Could anyone provide more detailed information about this specific model, especially regarding the SATA and PSU?
Additionally, what does the connection next to the red dot refer to?
Thank you very much!

Various versions of the "3060" exist, each featuring distinct dimensions, motherboards, and features.

That isnt an optiplex 5060 micro, i see a sticker that states an HP P/N, so its an HP computer, can you find out what model? That said, you do have an m.2 port at the bottom. You could use a m.2 ssd, or an m.2 to sata adapter, no clue how nice your system will play with the adapter though.

Oh my.. you're right..! My apologies!
I confused it with my second mini PC... which is an actual Optiplex 3060.
This one is an HP EliteDesk 800 G4 Small Form Factor.
After closer look, I spotted a small slot next to the HDD (right above the round CMOS battery).
So I believe I found something called an HDD Caddy (like this one) that I can buy, insert the SSD in, and install on top of everything.
I think this should work?

It seems like you're checking out listings that match your needs. You also have a M.2 slot available, which could allow for adding more storage devices if desired.
