I’m curious about whether you can boost your CPU speed and how much overclocking is possible with your current setup.

I need to find out if I can increase my CPU's speed and how much overclocking is possible. The system has an ASUS P7P55D, a Gigabite OC GTX 1060 with 3GB RAM, an i7-860 processor at 2.8GHz. Yes, it's possible but only up to around 4-500MHz. Each CPU model has small differences, so your friend or someone on YouTube might be able to get better results. The hardware is fairly recent, and I'm curious about the reasons behind wanting to overclock.

Yes, it supports some extra passive heatsinks, but not enough for extreme overclocking. Videos on YouTube show many people doing this. The performance might range from around 4 to 500MHz, though each CPU has small differences that affect results. What aftermarket heatsink would help with extra heat? Stock coolers won't suffice. Also, do you have a good power supply? How long has this been used? And why are you interested in overclocking?
