I need some help to make my Ryzen 5 3600 run faster by using an Aorus X570 Pro WiFi.
Hey, I am new at overclocking and have watched a lot of YouTube videos but still getting problems. I have tried Ryzen Master and the BIOS settings. No matter what I do or change the BIOS, it resets when I reboot my computer. It feels like everything that needs to be changed is spread all over the BIOS layout. I am trying to change my CPU and RAM. The RAM is a Trident Royal Z 32 gig with 3600hz speed. Any advice or help would be great because I work three shifts, so please reply when you can. Thanks in advance.
As stated earlier, only do one thing at a time. Put the CPU in stock and try to overclock memory instead. After trying this for a long time without success, it helps to reset the CMOS settings just like that. Sometimes I make mistakes when rushing to get things working right. Starting with a clean slate is better than guessing. Also: never mix using Ryznmaster overclocking software with BIOS overclocking settings. Doing both can cause unpredictable results. Resetting the CMOS before you try RM overclocking is the best thing to do.
Just try doing one thing at a time. Try bumping up your CPU clock speed in small steps of about 100MHz, then run Cinebench R20 or another test for at least 15 minutes, an hour is normal. If it starts flashing blue or won't turn on, go back to the old setting and you're done. But if you don't already have this set up, make sure your memory is running in XMP mode so it hits its rated speed of 3600MHz, which is good for third-gen Ryzen processors. Maybe you can't overclock at all? What kind of cooler are you using?
Actually, pushing Ryzen 3000 processors to higher speeds is pointless without great cooling. Also, make sure you turn on PBO for the best results.
