Sure thing! So you've completely replaced everything at this point. I figured it wasn't Ram, right? I swapped in a fresh power supply since the old one wasn't working. Also got a new motherboard because I couldn't think of any other reason why the PC wouldn't power on. I've tested various cables from the same PSU manufacturer and even tried different power outlets. The only thing I haven't checked is whether the CPU is damaged or dead. It might help, though—with the first PSU I got, the fans briefly turned on for a split second before shutting off.

That’s an effective method for cooking food. If cables are labeled by revision or model number, they’ll match even if made by the same manufacturer. The connector layout might vary. Have you tried frying the CPU before? I’m not sure, but it’s definitely doable.

You're asking about your 8GB RAM setup. Have you already installed it? Did you verify all connections carefully? I recommend using PCPartPicker to check your components, especially since your build seems missing a cooler. You can view the list here: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/rDypxs. Your current RAM isn't sufficient for your new build, so adding a cooler is essential. If you're unsure about any connections, double-check everything is properly plugged in. The forums will need more details to assist you better. My guess is there might be some loose connections or damage somewhere. Please confirm all parts are secure. Hopefully, someone with experience can guide you through this. In the meantime, check out the video for possible solutions.

There's an on/off switch on the power supply, near the mains cable connector. Make sure that's on the ON position. You can test the power supply separately by creating a connection between PS_ON pin and any ground pin (or COM) in the 24 pin header : https://www.smpspowersupply.com/connectors-pinouts.html It's the 4th pin from the side, one the edge with the clip. Connect that pin to any COM pin and if the power supply is fine, the fan should spin up. For the power supplies that only spin up fan at a certain threshold. you would need to connect a hard drive or a fan to the molex / sata connectors to see the power supply work. Make sure the motherboard is mounted on standoffs, the back of the motherboard must not touch the metal of the case. If it does, you're creating shorts between various connections. Plug cpu 8 pin AND 24 pin atx inside, with just these two connected and power supply on switch in the right position, there should be at least one led on the motherboard lightning up, indicating motherboard receives stand-by voltage.

I have 16, but I didn’t update the 8GB RAM. I’ll give it a try.

only the mb cable had a break; I replaced the faulty section with another from the same maker, and it functioned properly.
