I need help when streaming. My fps feels caped
When streaming it seems limited to 60 fps (my monitor runs at 144hz). I own a GTX 1060 with 6GB RAM and an i7-6700K processor. I have about 16GB of 3200MHz RAM. My system stays cool. During streaming, my game reports 160 fps (the cap), but it feels sluggish and laggy. At 70-80% usage, the GPU runs at 50-90% while RAM is at 50%. My upload speed is 12MP with 30kbps downlink. I’m unsure how to resolve this. My current settings are 720p at 60fps, 6k bitrate, new encoder, Verfast preset, and CBR for bitrate control. My Twitch is NIX_Dreadful, and I’m testing various configurations if you’d like to try the best settings and help.
do you mean your twitch stream is limited to 60, since you can only reach that limit on twitch
however if your game seems to cap the framerate during streaming, there is often a setting in your streaming tool to adjust the application's frame rate to match your stream
Reduce the bitrate. It's too high for 720p60. And if you're seeing 60fps on a 144Hz screen, then you should notice stutter because you're missing half the frames you need to get the best performance from the monitor.
Well, if your frame rate keeps dropping below the monitor's refresh rate, it will change how you experience it.
Begin adjusting parameters. The aim is consistent 130-150fps output. Required maximum bitrate for 720p60 is 4500kbps.
