For clarity, I own a b550-plus motherboard paired with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, a TUF GT301 case, and a 3070 GPU. My problem is that no sound reaches my headphones—neither through the 3.5 mm jack nor the speaker port on the back. When I navigate through the device menu in settings, it reports everything is functioning correctly and audio levels are updating. I’ve inspected my headphones for damage and tried various models, but nothing works. I’ve also reinstalled and uninstalled numerous audio drivers. The GPU is properly seated, and all I/O connections seem intact. I’m really stuck here.

Did you verify that your headphones include a volume adjustment and are set to the highest level?

Turn off your computer. If it wasn’t your headphones, it could likely resolve the issue. It occurred to me once, but it didn’t stick around. I don’t recall the exact fix.
