GPU will show video without any drivers set up. A simple Microsoft driver will be applied, which is distinct from turning off the driver installation process that Windows uses, since Windows typically installs a previous NVIDIA driver.

Save the latest driver file first. Turn off internet connection and restart in safe mode (Shift + Restart > Advanced Settings). Execute DDU. Restart after installation, then reconnect internet.

It's safer to turn off or disconnect your network so Windows won't automatically install basic drivers.
