I am not sure if I am misunderstanding you, or the other way around.
The issue isn't a link I am trying to add or take away. It is a path from the local folder that gets printed on the 'notes' portion of what I am attaching to a report, from Text Document and the like.
The link that Math Geek put up comes really close to what I am trying to do, but the information is old enough that the structure of the preferences (whatever) aren't the same and I cannot find what it refers to. In one of those threads the individual seeking help there discusses WHY that gets put there (for finding as reference), but in my case it is just the local scratch folder that I do conversions and combining in. It doesn't really pose a problem anywhere aside from me, as I just prefer not to have it there and find myself forgetting to go take it off. It isn't a link, you can't click it, just the "path" as it were.
I have a scheduled call with Senior Support incoming after 10, so hopefully they can clear it up for me. I will gladly post back here for others edification.
I do appreciate the assistance, thank you.

Man, a real waste of time. I'm really frustrated.
They called back and missed, so they sent me a chat link to finish "Senior Tech" by chat. I rechecked the whole checklist, repeating everything we did yesterday. During the chat, the tech said:
"So, the application is working fine, but it can't stop putting this text at the bottom of .txt files during conversion?"
I confirmed it was okay and they cut the chat off right away. It was a total waste of my time. Absurd!

It seems our tech support only knows what appears on the PC screen, they dive into the details and then stop. At least ours sends you an email with an incident number, and once you resolve it, we add a note to the screen showing how it was fixed.
