I need assistance with achieving 30 FPS.
I have a medium gaming laptop that handles most new games at high or ultra settings around 40-60 fps, especially when playing with vsyn. I aim to run those games at 30 fps for smoother performance, since I don’t want to jump between 40-60 fps. There are many suggestions on how to achieve 30 FPS on PC like a console, but I’m unsure which ones work best. Could you help me understand the right steps to make 30 fps smooth on my machine? Also, my screen resolution is 60.030HZ. Thank you!
With an NVIDIA or AMD GPU, you can adjust the frame rate limit in the drivers.

Details about the laptop's specifications?
It seems the graphics performance is quite basic, possibly requiring reduced settings to achieve a stable frame rate.
Hello, I own an Acer Nitro 5 equipped with a 9th gen Intel i5 9300H processor, an Nvidia GTX 1650 graphics card, 526SSD, 16GB RAM, and a 60Hz display. I use custom ggOS Windows 10 for gaming, and the properties indicate it runs at around 60.030HZ—don’t know why. With these specs, I usually get 35-60FPS, especially in new games with high-ultra settings, though performance varies by title. Since I have very sensitive eyes, I struggle with FPS fluctuations (not all games). I’m looking for ways to cap the frame rate at 30FPS and achieve smoother performance similar to consoles. Please let me know if anyone has tips on making it stable at that speed without sacrificing too much visual quality. Thanks!
