Hey there! I was working on some IT tasks yesterday when I encountered the file compatibilitychecker.exe. I ran several scans using Norton 360, Microsoft Security Essentials, and SpyBot Search & Destroy, but after about four hours it didn’t go away. I considered formatting the drive, but the customer has a lot of data with frequent backups. I searched online and only found advice about deleting the source file, which still appears. Anyone else have experience with this problem?

Remove Norton and install a genuine antivirus like Avast. 3. Install Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and perform a scan.
