When I open the BIOS and load the windows, everything functions properly until installation begins and it freezes at 0% for expanding files. I’m running a 320GB HDD that I purchased a long time ago, which uses DDR2. Could this be the issue or is the problem with my RAM since I only have two 8GB sticks? Additionally, whenever I restart the PC, it keeps shutting off and turning back on until I power it off completely before turning it back on, then it works normally again after a restart.
Getting the power stable is the main issue, or maybe the PSU isn’t delivering enough consistent voltage. I’ll verify the cables just to rule out that problem. For memory, at least 2GB is recommended for Windows 7. Would you like me to attempt a Linux installation? Have you tried reformatting the hard drive or using another installation media?
