Someone is asking if this update affects all metro features and restores the original start menu on Windows 7. They mention owning a legitimate Windows 7 copy and suspect it removes everything except the original interface.

I would choose to begin again. P.S. He’s using a jet turbine to run his computer.

It's because it's free with Windows 7 installation or existing files, offering the genuine version. A third-party option wouldn't be superior in this case.

StartIsBack functions similarly to free and may perform better.

The start button remains non-functional, and your hot corners stay unchanged. Using StartIsBack should resolve these issues.

It's unlikely you've seen the video, but it displays the W7 files and highlights that Metro no longer functions. The corners and start button/menu are not working properly.

I prefer Classic Start since it offers more tools than Start is Back and is completely free. You can disable the charms bars and avoid Metro altogether. I've been using Windows 8 for more than six months, mostly encountering Metro 2-3 times because of an incident.

I get it. You weren't sure, but what I discovered is not a tool to swap the start menu or button—it's actually the real original Start button from Windows 7. I was expecting a bigger reply, but it's simpler than that!

Most folks prefer quick software downloads instead of spending time on something slow. The alternatives are easy to uninstall, while your approach would be harder to undo if needed.
