If the core wasn’t destroyed, it’s likely repairable. A damaged memory chip could increase the cost slightly. HOWEVER, I’d assume one of the fuses failed, which might have protected the rest of your card.

It matches what you mentioned, still less expensive than the new 4080. Also, I’m not too concerned about money—I already have the funds and could sell my i7 13700k if needed.
