I don't really think they'd be interested, but it's okay—I'll save up and get a new GPU. I'm also planning to try selling the 4080 for parts that function, like heatsinks and fans, since the board itself isn't useful anymore.

Mobo is back and everything seems fine... so the only purchase left is a GPU. I doubt Palit would be overly pleased if I messed around with them...

If you pushed them for a simple mistake before allowing an unknown person inside the GPU, they might have resolved the issue on your behalf. Choosing lesser-known brands often increases your chances of getting a return, since companies like Asus, Gigabyte, and MSI tend to be less likely to accept returns, even when things go wrong. However, once someone else has already worked through it, your chances drop significantly.

It would have been better if I had thought more carefully, but I suppose everyone gains from errors...

Well, Krisfix Germany might actually repair the GPU if things align. It could save you money instead of buying new. He and Northwest Repair each have their own YouTube channels. I don’t know their rates, but fixing it usually costs less than a new 4080.

Sure, I'll wait and check if they can resolve it.

They just got my GPU now. It was sent at midnight today, and the person emailed me shortly after. I expect to hear back within five to twenty days.
