I had a really slow Lenovo laptop about five years old, and it was acting up. I figured I needed to fix it. It had a poor Windows installation, so I used DBAN with the DOD Short method for one pass, which took around 18 hours. After that, I tried reinstalling Windows using WinToolKit. The system booted but was very unstable, showing glitches during startup. Eventually, it got to the recovery screen with the error code 0xc00000f. I’m not sure what to do next.

Restarting Windows 10 might be necessary. It seems there could have been an issue with the installation.

I removed unnecessary details and simplified the language while keeping the core meaning intact.

If you're not sure about what you're doing, it's causing frustration. You altered the Windows 10 ISO file now, so you're taking on all the lost time. Instead of making minor adjustments, use the media creation tool to rebuild your USB installation exactly as intended. Avoid any changes.

If you agree, I’ll set up a standard Windows system with pre-installed software. I’m eager to explore something different and gain experience, even if it feels like a waste of time.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. A fresh Windows 10 installation is pretty standard compared to other options.

The only possible bloatware are Edge and MS Teams.

Consider using Quick Wipe instead of DBAN since you're already running Windows and need a quicker solution.

I don’t know much about DBAN. I’ll locate a method to erase the partitions and then run the regular W10 ISO without any additional hardware.
