What you should anticipate is that others have reached out to Steam support, and now it's time to hold on.

well, I wasn't sure if anyone had experienced something similar and had any details. also, if you're not familiar with it, why be so dismissive? just let me know, i don't have any information about it yet. maybe someone else will find out, and in the meantime, wait for a reply from Steam support.

I have checked with Steam support to restore my account. I don’t remember ever saying anything about not knowing anything. What should someone outside of Steam do for their account on Steam? If you’re curious about the recovery steps, you should have asked them. I wasn’t being unkind.

If you reached out to Steam support as I did, then you should now wait for their reply and they will restore everything to normal.

In the meantime, it might be a good idea to run an anti-virus or malware scan to avoid future issues.

It seemed you were being impolite, I misinterpreted, and I disagree
