I recently had to upgrade my PC quickly, but I still have my old SSDs. One held my operating system and some extra files, another stored my Steam collection. After installing a new version of Steam on the new PC, I moved the files to a fresh folder. When I turned off the Steam app and replaced the directory, it worked perfectly—no need to re-download GTA V. However, when trying to play my game at 98.5%, my save file disappeared completely. Are the saves still saved somewhere else? If so, where could I locate them on the old SSD? Your situation is frustrating, and any guidance would be incredibly helpful.

The game stores files in your specified directory, so check that folder for your recent save.

Great to have your save restored. GTA 5 is solid, but going through the campaign a second time feels excessive.

I've actually gone through the campaign multiple times and I love exploring various choices during the main heists in terms of tactics and team composition. I often come across unexpected lines of dialogue while doing this. The two sections that really take the excitement away are the prologue and the scene where you operate the large machines at the dock moving containers. I wish I could bypass them!

Sure, I get that. The various choices and endings can be exciting, but some missions do feel repetitive, and the opening scene isn’t very engaging.
