Hello, a week ago my computer stopped functioning. I noticed the screen was off because I had left it running during lunch. When I attempted to restart it, it wouldn't boot up properly and the VGA light remained active. Since then, I've been trying various fixes such as clearing CMOS, re-seating the GPU, swapping RAM, but nothing has resolved the issue. I'm unsure what to do next. Ideally, I would test each component individually to identify the problem, but this is my only setup. Also, I don't have a motherboard buzzer or similar access points. Any guidance on troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated, as I'm hesitant to purchase replacement parts without first understanding the fault.

Just reviewed the PSU tier list—it's in the F tier.
I bought it a while back without much knowledge, probably because of its reputation.
Any suggestions for PSUs?

I don't have personal preferences, but here are some popular sites you might consider for purchasing PSU: Amazon, Best Buy, Newegg, and specialized electronics retailers.

There's currently a sale for a similar product from the same brand. Should I consider getting this one instead, or is this one worse in some way I don't fully understand? (I hear that wattage isn't everything)

I would obtain the one I linked. The newer model raised the standards.

I went out and ordered the PSU you recommended. It took a long time for it to arrive by mail, but it’s now here. Unfortunately, I’m still facing the problem where the VGA light remains on. Are there any steps I can take that don’t require ordering another part to check if something specific is causing this issue? I don’t mind buying the PSU since it’s a good quality one and will last, though I was hoping it would fix the problem immediately.

I looked up the situation and found this description. It matches exactly what I experienced. I should have mentioned earlier that was what was happening, even though I focused only on the VGA light staying on. I tried the suggested fixes but didn’t succeed. Now I have a clearer idea of what to search for online.
