I made updates for two laptops: Windows 7 to 10 and Windows 8.1 to 10. The transition from 7 to 10 was problematic, causing Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to vanish from settings and control panels. Previously, everything functioned. I thought it might be a driver update issue, checked the Device Manager, and tried auto-updates, but they reported the latest drivers. Manually selecting drivers still triggered error code 10. I’ve tried resetting the PC and other fixes, but nothing resolves the problem. Help is needed.

Certain devices that work on seven machines often face issues in Windows 10 without updates. Windows 8 to 10 generally offer better compatibility. Error code 10 indicates the driver isn't functioning or is outdated. You can update the driver directly from the hardware manufacturer's website (such as Intel or Realtek). Some laptop makers stop updating their software after a certain point. If support ends, consider using a USB dongle or a mini PCI/PCI Wi-Fi/Bluetooth module.
