I'm really frustrated. Since moving to PC gaming under 60fps was a no-go, yesterday she bought Dying Light for her Xbox One. She started playing and everything was super choppy—like lagging everywhere. The Xbox version was stuck at 30fps, while my PC ran smooth at 60fps. Now I can't even watch the console version clearly. Sorry for the rant; this is my first time playing a console game since switching, and apparently some people think they can’t tell the difference—definitely need better eyes!

Yes, it's quite serious.

This refers to switching from a hard disk drive to a solid-state drive for the boot device.

You usually feel uneasy about anything beyond that specific experience. This happens with a wide range of things.

She began to play and I noticed motion, my initial reaction was a sharp "Ew"

It's not bad to be stuck at 30fps. I ran Shadow of Mordor on a friend's PS3. Imagine 1080p or 720p with low settings except for shadows, which are medium. No anti-aliasing. So rough edges everywhere. EDIT: Also felt around 20-30 fps... not sure the exact numbers

I’m not sure about the visuals, but I can still enjoy console games fine. Sure, they might look great at 60fps and 1440p, but I’m comfortable playing on my brother’s PS4 whenever he visits. It wasn’t the best quality, but it worked for me.

The only reason I retain my PS4 is because of FIFA.

I understand this experience, as racing games on the console often leave something out. A low frame rate doesn't always mean lag. For more details, check the source.
