My build: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/pFwHQd Running stress tests with cinepak, furmark, and 3d mark and it worked just fine. But I am currently playing Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak, and during dialog bits the game sometimes shuts down the PC. No error messages, no crash dumps, nada. Looking at the event logs I do see an Event 41 regarding a shutdown, and an event 1023 failing to load "c:\windows\system32\sysmain.dll"(not sure if this is related). Also when it crashes my hwinfo is not showing anything odd, this game never taxes the cpu or gpu. Earlier when building this PC, getting to the benchmark portion of 3d mark did the same thing 100%, and it was fixed when I changed the the GPU plug to a different location on the PSU (the dark power pro 13 1300W has two 12VHPWR ports). I tested ram, I did a full system scan, stress tests, updated bios, etc, and nothing has fixed it. Anyone have any insight? Thanks in advance.

Update: I realized that my power supply was starting up with multiple rails turned on by default. Switching back to one rail just fixed the problem.

Check your computer's power settings. Make sure you are using the 12VHPWR cable that came with your new PSU or a third-party one instead of just using the original cable from the old one. You can run commands like "DISM" to check if Windows is running properly and see if there are any updates for your SSD. If the Samsung Magician app shows you an update for it, install the firmware. Also look at where your graphics card's BIOS switch is set. Try turning that setting completely off or on to change which side of the card gets powered up. Then try changing the BIOS settings on the card by switching it to the other side to see if that helps.

The BIOS has been updated and the SSD firmware is fresh. Since I can't afford a new power supply right now to test if it's causing the issue, I'm wondering what if I just check other things first before talking to Be Quiet? They said they have a spare one in their box, but should I use the original cable from that PSU, or the adapter that came with my graphics card? I'm worried about using an adapter because only three PCIe connectors are left on the power supply. I already changed the BIOS to quiet mode and will try performance now. Please give me a few days to hear back from you regarding this.

What version of your driver do you have? I'm not sure if this made them stop working, though it seems to be causing black screens and other issues. Please make sure that the 12-volt high-power plug is all the way in.

I switched the bios back to performance mode and lets see. In addition, I reseated the ram. I'm using 576.28 version of the driver. Here's a pic of my 12v hi power connector, this is my first experience with it, does it look fully seated?
