I just completed The Talos Principle.
I just completed The Talos Principle.
I just finished the entire game (The Talos Principle) with all possible endings. It’s an excellent title. It’s tough to judge if it surpasses Portal 2 since it offers a completely different experience. For those interested, I must say these titles, though both puzzle-focused with captivating narratives, can’t be directly compared. I really appreciated the philosophical depth of the game and it made me reflect on existential questions. The tower ending was particularly impressive. While I anticipated the final scenes, they still left me amazed by how cleverly crafted it was. I can only suggest this game to anyone who enjoys puzzle and story-driven experiences. 10/10 in my view. Some puzzles were quite challenging, and finishing them was rewarding. Stars were particularly difficult, so I relied on guides for a few sections because they were extremely tough. Although optional, collecting them all gives you a unique alternative ending. In Portal 2, the story intertwined with gameplay, but in The Talos Principle, they remain separate. You don’t need to focus on the narrative; just enjoy the puzzles, but if you care about the story it can surprise you. There’s a lot of reading involved in the narrative, but I found it engaging. It felt more like an RPG with choice-driven gameplay.
Yes, a few were great but I haven't discovered them all. Some are very well hidden; I really enjoyed the "money, money, money" Easter egg and also appreciated the developers. I believe I uncovered everything behind those fake walls or I hope I did find all of them.
I didn't catch that one, I haven't finished the whole game yet. It seems like you're heading into the section about gathering pieces for a statue. If you haven't started yet, I'd suggest checking out Hotline Miami/Hotline Miami 2 and Shadow Warrior, both published by Devolver Digital. I’d probably go with Shadow Warrior if you enjoy FPS titles. @WereCat
I've completed Shadow Warrior and am familiar with Hotline Miami, but I haven't played it yet. Thanks for the suggestion!
