I just completed my first PC, but the CPU indicator still appears on the motherboard.
after a year of preparation my pc is still not working. the cpu indicator is lit, but I can't figure out the issue since I don’t have any extra components. specs: motherboard msi mag b550 tomahawk cpu with ryzen 79700g, gpu still pending, ram from kingston fury 2 x 16gb, 4tb seagate hdd, 400gb ks-ssd, fans start up and colors appear, yet the monitor shows no signal. i think the problem lies with the cpu itself, not the socket, because when the processor was shipped it had bent pins but they were fixed with tweezers. also, when power is on, temperatures rise without a cooler attached.
Really appreciated the advice. I’ve used Intel CPUs before, but I’m considering switching to AMD now since I’ve heard positive feedback about them.
Verified BIOS compatibility with the CPU. Likely no major defects, though minor issues like incorrect connections or loose RAM might exist. Double-check all cables and components.
Are you referring to a 5600G or 5700G? That's not very clear. If you're looking to discuss it in a general thread so you don't need a CPU cooler on the chip, you might want to create a broader topic. You can then return your request through Amazon within 30 days as suggested by @Mark Kaine—using a USB and BIOS flashback to update the BIOS with the latest version and the video referenced.
