I just changed my CPU from Ryzen 3 3100 to Ryzen 7 5700X3D, but the speed is still locked.
I recently changed my CPU, but the clock speed remains at 3.39GHz. I'm using an Asrock B450m Pro4 motherboard with BIOS 4.60. After installing AMD Adrenalin, it still isn<|pad|>, what should I do next?
Verify using cpuid or other system monitoring tools. The task manager isn't the most precise method.
To verify, did you upgrade your BIOS to the newest release? It seems you must rely on a BIOS labeled as "beta" to ensure compatibility with the 5700X3D. Unless the support page clarifies otherwise, you should check for AGESA 1.2.0.6b/c or BIOS version 5.70. The CPU Support page also recommends a minimum version of 8.01. Regarding AMD Adrenalin, did you mean it confirmed your chipset drivers were current?
I would have reverted the CMOS settings and/or used the chance to refresh the BIOS. Additionally, removed the outdated chipset drivers and replaced them with the newest versions.
